If you are travelling to the Syrian city Aleppo, you should stay a night at the legendary Baron Hotel built in 1909. Agatha Christie wrote her book Murder on the Orient Express in room 203 and Lawrence of Arabia also stopped by. Don´t expect luxury but more the atmosphere of a time long gone. If it’s over your budget a drink in the bar is also recommended. They don’t have a website so you must book through one of the hotel websites like hotels.com. Rates starts around 60 USD.
