A spectacular exhibition of more than 60 ball gowns from the 1950 to the present day is on display at one of my favorite London museums, the V&A from 19 May 2012 – 6 January 2012. The exhibition features beautiful ball gowns, red carpet evening gowns and catwalk showstoppers. The gowns designed by british designers such as Alexander McQueen, Erdem and Jonathan Saunders has been created especially for state dinners, opening nights and red carpet events and worn by Princess Diana, the Queen Mother, Elisabeth Hurley and Bianca Jagger among others. A great chance to see dresses that most of us will never have the chance to wear let alone own!
